Residents Parking Scheme

A review of St Pauls residents’ parking scheme has commenced as part of the Mayor’s commitment to ensure schemes city-wide are working for their communities. Surveys are open to everyone and ask questions about operating hours, double yellow lines and different types of parking. Local businesses and organisations are encouraged to suggest initiatives that will support local retail and service centres. The survey can be found online at www.bristol.gov.uk/rps.

One Tree Per Child

Over the next 4 years the One Tree Per Child team aim to plant 6000 trees per year, working with primary school aged children in Bristol. This winter the community events programme will be planting trees in parks and green space across the city, including new woodlands, hedgerows, and individual trees. There will also be new trees planted in primary schools creating spaces for outdoor learning. A scheme funded by Great Western Railway is offering free group travel to residents’ associations, youth clubs, and any other local organisations or charities working with disadvantaged communities in the West of England. Robber apprehended with help of local hero

Sergeant Mark Aston has reported that someone threatened with a knife in the area managed to help detain the offender, who has since been sentenced to 32 months.
