BME and Refugee Artists’ Networking Events

BME and Refugee Artists' Networking Events

The Women’s Community Forum is organising a series of 5 events bringing together Black and Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BLACK*) artists from across the UK in March/April 2017.

The Forum is also in the process of collating a catalogue of BLACK* artists for inclusion in the re-designed The Women’s Community Forum website available end of March 2017. This online directory aims to strengthen the community of BLACK* artists by raising the profiles of Black* artists in England and wider.

Networking events will allow artists to get to know each other, share ideas, identify and express their needs.

In each venue, the Forum is looking for two artists to deliver a 30 minute workshop in their own field. (These artists will attend the event free of charge). They will also include a session on ‘How to flourish as a Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee artist/s’.

The Women’s Community Forum

The Women’s Community Forum has been funded by the Arts Council England to collate a BLACK, Asian, Ethnic Minority, Refugee artist’s directory –so we would love to hear from you.

Inclusion in the  BLACK* artists directory is free to individual artists. Organisations/companies are required to pay an annual fee of £20. This will support the long-term maintenance of the directory.

To feature in the directory, please fill in the attached form and return to Please insert BAD then your art form in the subject line. Photos must be attached separately.
