We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable volunteer to help us with our social media and communications. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for experience in communications for both a media outlet and within the not-for-profit sector. You will gain experience managing social media accounts, building relationships online and updating our website.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching, preparing and posting on Vocalise’s social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook and WordPress)
  • Engaging with local residents and local community groups online, to build Vocalise’s relationships across the online community
  • Drafting, editing and posting news posts to the Vocalise website
  • Researching and posting new community events to the online events calendar

Person Specification

  • Passionate about community projects, local journalism and marketing/communications
  • Experience using social media or willingness to learn
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a small team
  • Reliability, a great work ethic and willingness to learn new things
