Transport services available for community groups and individuals provided by Bristol Community Transport.

Bristol Community Transport are a social enterprise providing a range of transport services for individuals and community groups across Bristol.  We have been funded by Bristol City Council’s Impact Fund to provide transport services specifically for older people and people with a disability who have difficulty using public transport, for example to take them to the shops, social activities or appointments. Our Dial-A-Ride service is free to members (£5 annual membership) who hold a Bristol City Council Travelcard.  The service operates Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm and provides passengers with a door-to-door service.  Membership enquiries can be made by phoning 0845 130 1875 or online at http://bristolcommunitytransport.org.uk/transport_for_individuals/bristol_dial-a-ride

Bristol Community Transport are also funded by the Council to provide transport services for voluntary organisations, sports clubs, community or faith groups, schools and charities in the city who may need transport to undertake their activities, for example taking their members to a cultural event or social activity.  We have a fleet of minibuses which can be hired at competitive rates,  and a small pool of volunteer drivers (we are always looking for volunteer drivers!).  We can also provide nationally accredited training to group members to give them the flexibility and capacity to be able to hire and drive a minibus whenever they need to. Groups can find out more about the minibus hire service at http://bristolcommunitytransport.org.uk/group_transport_22/introducing_our_minibus_service or by phoning 0117 902 0157.
